AI-generated content
Scorvo's in-app agent writes short explanations for you. Those explanations are generated by an AI model, and we mark them so that software can tell. This page says what the mark is and how to check it.
What is marked
Only the agent's own prose — the short explanation it writes in the dock. Everything else you see in Scorvo is your club's data: fixtures, results, standings, rosters. Those are records you and your club created, and they carry no mark.
What you type is never marked. The dock keeps your words and the agent's words apart, and the mark is attached only to the agent's side.
The mark
The value is a public vocabulary term for machine-generated media: http://cv.iptc.org/newscodes/digitalsourcetype/trainedAlgorithmicMedia. It comes from the IPTC Digital Source Type list, which is widely used for images. We borrow the term for text because it names the fact we need to state; we do not claim that list covers text.
How to check it
In the page: an agent turn in the dock carries the attribute data-digital-source-type set to that value. Open your browser's developer tools, inspect the agent's reply, and you will see it on the element that holds the text.
In the response: the request that produced the reply answers with the header x-digital-source-type set to the same value, and each streamed message carries a digitalSourceType field alongside it.
In our records: when we store the agent's reply, the stored row keeps the same value next to it.
What the mark does not survive
If you select the agent's text and copy it, the mark does not travel with it. The mark lives in the page, the response, and our records — not inside the letters themselves. Scorvo has no button that copies or exports the agent's prose, so this is the only way it can happen.
Techniques that would survive copying — an invisible pattern woven into the text, or a signed manifest bound to it — are either at odds with screen readers and text tools, or still being standardised. We are watching that work rather than inventing our own encoding, and we will say so here if it changes.
